Mahi Maniacs - Maniac Flash Bullet - Planer Fishing

Maniac Flash Bullet

Rigging available for Wahoo/Kingfish Planer fishing or Mono Rigged for Mahi/Tuna, select below.

Bring flash to your trolling spread with the Maniac Flash Bullet, available in rigging options for targeting Wahoo, Mahi-mahi, and Tuna. This is a highly effective lure trolled behind planers. Its 1oz bullet-shaped head and 6" flashy profile create a tempting presentation for offshore predators, whether you’re fishing South Florida, the Florida Keys, or beyond. The Double Hook and Single Hook Wahoo Rigging offer bite protection and are a common method to catch Wahoo and Kingfish in the South Florida Waters!

Choose the rigging that matches your fishing style:

Double Hook Wahoo Strip Rig: Pair with a Bonita strip or artificial strip for a Wahoo and Kingfish trolling presentation with two hooks positioned along the bait. A great option for planer fishing or trolling on a flat line. Comes rigged on 80lb tournament grade mono with Flemish eye loops on connection points for added durability. Offers added tooth protection, but isn’t tooth-proof. This rig provides a more discreet presentation in heavily fished areas or when targeting sharp-eyed predator fish like Wahoo and Kingfish.

Single Hook Wahoo Strip Rig: A streamlined option for targeting Wahoo with a Bonita strip or artificial strip. Fish it behind a planer or incorporate it into your flat-line spread.

Single Hook Mono Rig: Built for anglers targeting mahi-mahi and tuna, this option pairs the Flash Bullet’s baitfish-inspired flash with a simple monofilament leader. No frills—just a quality pre rigged lure that will get smashed offshore.

Each Maniac Flash Bullet is rigged in-house using tournament-quality components. For strip-rig options, simply thread on your favorite Bonita strip or artificial strip and get to trolling.

From planer fishing for Wahoo to offshore trolling for Mahi and Tuna, choose the Maniac Flash Bullet  and put more flash in your spread.
